Summer is ending, and we are eagerly awaiting the Autumn season. Well, I
am. I don’t know about you. I certainly did not enjoy the summer heatwave we had
here in the UK, and I am ready for a change. My children go back to school this
week, and we can get back in the work routine. For me that means many different
things. I am currently applying for part time jobs, with little success so far.
I am still trying to work out how to make my books sell, how to find my
audience, how to create products that people want to buy. It is a tricky
process, but I refuse to give up.

*Cover Reveal!* Mystical Circles by S.C. Skillman #ASMSG
Book
Cover Reveal: New Luminarie Edition of Mystical
Circles, the Prequel to A Passionate Spirit
I’m delighted to announce that I can now show you the Cover Reveal for my new Luminarie edition of Mystical Circles. It’s been a long
and sometimes fraught journey with the cover designers but I’m very excited
with the final result!
Read
two reviews here, both from Young Adult authors:
Intense Psychological Drama in a Beautiful Setting
First of all, I fell in love with the beautiful house
where the story is set, and wanted to go there immediately! Against this
backdrop, a tense and intriguing psychological drama is worked out, with new
twists and revelations every day. The complex and often damaged characters
gathered together react and interact more often than not in ways that surprise
and sometimes shock, and you are kept guessing about the outcomes of some of
the relationships until the very end. This was an intense and compelling story
with many twists and turns in the plot to keep you reading. (Eleanor Watkins,
YA author )
Psychological Suspense That Doesn’t Disappoint
The scene is an idyllic Cotswold farmhouse, where a
mixed bag of needy people live in a community. Enter journalist Juliet, seeking
to save her younger sister from the clutches of what she considers a cult, with
its charismatic and enigmatic leader, Craig. Like Juliet, we are drawn into the
claustrophobic lives of the characters in this “Wheel of Love” and find
ourselves unable to leave. As the emotional and psychological tensions crackle
and ignite against each other, it’s like watching a slow-motion train crash of
the conflicting personalities, desires, jealousies and hurts. If you like your
drama filled with psychological suspense, with a hint of the paranormal, then
you won’t be disappointed. I’m pleased to see there’s a sequel, A Passionate
Spirit. (Philip S Davies, YA author)
So
without more ado here is the book cover for Mystical
Circles
Blurb:
“Hi, you in crowded, stressed old London from me in
the peaceful, perfect Cotswolds. Massive change of plan. I’m in love. Craig’s
gorgeous, sexy, intelligent. Paradise here. Staying forever.”
Juliet, concerned that her younger sister has fallen
in love with the charismatic Craig, leader of the Wheel of Love, sets off for
the Cotswolds to investigate, fearful that Zoe has become entangled with a
religious cult.
She arrives at Craig’s community hoping to rescue Zoe.
But intrigues, liaisons and relationships flare and flourish or fizzle out
quickly within this close circle, and despite her reservations, Juliet is drawn
into the Wheel of Love… with completely unforeseen consequences.
The new Luminarie
edition of Mystical Circles is
available as from 5 September 2017. It will be available online and in all good
bookstores.

#AtoZChallenge - Use Your Imagination
One of the big lessons I learned when I embarked on my spiritual journey
many years ago, was that to access the paranormal, or supernatural world, you
must be able to use your Imagination. When I was a child I was always
told by adults that I had a very vivid imagination. I saw lots of things that
maybe other people did not see, but to me it was normal. As I grew older I
tried to ignore my imagination, believing it to be childish and wrong. But
then, when I seriously started practising in the spiritual world, I realised
just how important my imagination was, and is, as a tool for divination and
understanding.
This is a lesson that Jessica Stone must accept if she is to learn how
to be an effective witch. Her magical power and strength has burst forth in a
chaotic stormcloud of energy. She is confused, angry and irritable, because she
does not know what to do with all of these intense feelings and emotions. It
takes a while for her to accept her new position in the world, although she has
to make some snap decisions in the face of scheming vampires and warring
werewolves. She is unfortunate enough to be caught in a powerful love triangle,
but the love is perhaps better explained as lust. All of this adds to the magic
and confusion, and Jessica must learn to work with it, or the whole thing will
consume her and leave her broken.
Jessica learns that she must allow her imagination to be free if she is
to explore the full potential of her witchcraft. This is explained to her by
her witch mentor, Crystal, who supervises some meditation sessions in which
Jessica can access the world in which her animal familiar resides. Suri, the
snow tiger, is an ethereal creature, and she is trapped within a magical world
accessed only by Jessica. Using her imagination, Jessica can meditate on the
world that she sees in her mind, and she can speak freely with Suri, to learn
more about her power animal and how they can work together to manage the
vampires and werewolves.

Supernatural Chaos in Love Redeems (A Redcliffe Novel) #HDH
Hello and welcome to the Hump Day Hook. Today I offer another excerpt from my third novel Love Redeems (A Redcliffe Novel). The young witch, Jessica Stone, is struggling to contain the power of her animal familiar. In this snippet, she has caused a little trouble with the Redcliffe werewolf pack…
“Jessica,” Simon said from his position in the living room, “Are you alright?”
Suri heard him and she turned her head. I turned mine to face Simon, and I could feel the heat of my eyes as the power swirled hot and heavy around me once again. Simon’s expression changed from concern to alarm, his eyes widening. He held out his hands in a submissive gesture as he recognized the tiger in my gaze. I smiled, and I knew it was more of a grimace by the tightness of my lips. I advanced slowly upon the wolf lieutenant.
“I am well,” I said in a silky voice, “But I am hungry.”
Simon backed away, walking behind the sofa, preparing to fend me off as I approached.
“Jessica,” he said, “Jessica, please don’t do this. I am not the alpha. I am not Danny. I cannot give you what you need.”
The Redcliffe novels are available in paperback and eBook formats, from retailers including Amazon, Smashwords, Barnes and Noble, and Waterstones. There will be more in the series, but first I have the small matter of expecting a baby to contend with…

Hump Day Hook #HDH Love Redeems (A Redcliffe Novel)
Having recently sent my final manuscript off to the publisher for printing, I would like to share an excerpt from my upcoming new release Love Redeems (A Redcliffe Novel). I am very excited to see my third book in print, and I hope you will enjoy the snippet, which shows a little action between the witch Jessica Stone, and the alpha werewolf Danny Mason.
There we go! Not only is Jessica fighting with her wayward animal familiar, but she is about to plunge head first into a love triangle with supernatural identical twin brothers. Will her sanity survive? Will she survive? Wait and see! In the meantime, you can read the story from the beginning by checking out Love Hurts (A Redcliffe Novel) free on Wattpad for a limited time only. You can then sample the sequel Love Kills (A Redcliffe Novel) and follow the progress of our feisty heroine and her tumultuous relationships.

“You are the
alpha male,” I said, “You are worthy of our attention.”
“Jessica,”
Danny said, “I do not want to play with your tiger. I want you,” he paused, staring at me with glowing blue eyes,
“Jessica, I want you.” He said again.
I
hesitated, mulling over his words.
Something stirred within me, a memory of another man who looked
identical to the alpha. The other man
was not a wolf. He was dead. I didn’t want a dead thing. I wanted heat, power, and life. I moved towards the alpha, my body preparing
to pounce. My movements were smooth,
agile and feline. I loved the way I
moved, so graceful and delicate, so strong.
I pounced.
