Today I share a review of Angel by C.A. Bell.
When I first
began reading this story, I thought that it seemed a little clumsy and naive.
Then I realised that this was Angel, telling her story, and her personality
came through in the prose. She is only a young woman, barely out of her teenage
years, and she stumbled into a dark and dangerous world after escaping a
childhood of torment. The graphic scenes of sex and violence were hard to read,
and I felt physically affected a few times. Not for the faint hearted, this is
a book that deals with the darkest side of human nature. I was so glad to find
a reasonably happy ending for our poor protagonist. It had me hooked, that's
for sure!
