Spoiler Alert! Sequel to Vampire of Blackpool by Catherine Green

 ðŸ‘‰ Spoiler Alert! ✍️

Have you read Vampire of Blackpool yet? You may not want to read this sneaky snippet from the sequel, one of my current works-in-progress (includes explicit language):

👄😈👀

“I’m hungry,”
Raising my eyes, I smiled coldly at my new student.
“I know,” I replied quietly, before returning my attention to the laptop.
“No,” he growled, “I am really fucking hungry. It’s killing me. I need to feed.”
I sighed and rolled my shoulders, looking up at Ryan James with eyes that flashed silver as my temper flared.
“Yes,” I said in a voice grown thick with my extended fangs, “I know you are hungry, Ryan. The hunger never fades. You simply learn to exist with it.”

Christmas with the Vampires by Catherine Green

Our favourite bad-boy vampire, Marcus Scott, meets an old friend for Christmas in Edwardian London.

With his blond hair, ice blue eyes and sculpted physique, Marcus Scott immediately turns the heads of everyone he encounters upon his arrival in London at Christmas time. Unbeknownst to all the women and men who fall under his spell with just one glance, Marcus is a vampire with a desperate need to feed from the young and the beautiful. When he unexpectedly encounters Lady Amelia Richmond, the vampire instrumental in his own transition, the two begin to plan a holiday feast to satisfy their deep hunger.

The Darkness of Love by Catherine Green

Today I share an excerpt from The Darkness of Love, where we see the young stable hand Marcus Scott caught in the act as he indulges in some very naughty fantasies about his mistress…

“Good morning, Marcus.” chimed a beautiful feminine voice.

Marcus jumped and dropped the grooming brush, embarrassment sending a flush to his cheeks as he saw the object of his affections framed in the doorway to the stables.

“Good morning my Lady,” he stuttered, “I am so sorry, I didn’t see you arrive.”  He ducked his head and she laughed gently and replied.

“It is alright Marcus,” she said, “I could see that you were daydreaming.  I trust it was a pleasant vision?”

It was Marcus’ turn to laugh, but with further embarrassment.  If only she knew!

“Yes my Lady, a most pleasant daydream,” he replied, “Penelope is all ready for you.  I will just fetch her saddle.”

The Darkness of Love by Catherine Green

A Victorian vampire lord seeks an heir for his estate in this English Gothic novel with passion and flair.

Lord Gregory Stockton is a powerful and respected businessman embracing the modern era of the Victorian industrial revolution. His young wife is infatuated with the stable boy, much to Gregory's amusement. He hatches a plan to bring the would-be lovers together, and then cruelly tear them apart as he continues to build his empire and secure his power base in the south of England. The humans are pawns in the vampire’s game of lust, love and control.

Amelia picked up her glass and took a long sip of the rich red wine. When she spoke again her eyes were glowing and her fangs had extended delicately. Gregory felt her energy filling the room, and he smiled, responding with a lash of his own cold power.  He possessed the energy and strength of diamonds, hard and impenetrable. Amelia shivered, her lips curling in a hiss, and wrapped her violet sparks around him in a cold, sharp embrace. To a human there was nothing unusual in this room, but to a vampire, it was electric and very exciting. They played a fine line between safety and danger, and Amelia thrived on danger.

“You wish for me to seduce this young man at your party next week?” Amelia asked, still caressing Gregory with her power, while she stood like a marble statue in front of the fireplace.

Gregory nodded, keeping his cool silver gaze fixed on her black eyes. He tried so hard to ignore his Mistress’ advances, but he could never refuse her. He belonged to her, and he was not strong enough to break free.

“Yes,” he said, “I am sure he will be compliant, for he is a man with vigorous appetites, or so I hear from the villagers. He has a reputation among the workers’ daughters.”

Amelia smiled and nodded, her eyes glowing with excitement. She licked her lips, and her eyes showed a glimmer of fire, deep in the pupils. She was a contradiction of everything the vampires knew about themselves. She burned with both fire and ice, and no-one could escape her trap when she set it.

“I will not disappoint my oldest friend.” she said simply.

Indulging my Inner Vamp

I have been making lots of new friends across social media recently, and they have reminded my about why I write vampire stories. I have always felt deeply passionate and intrigued about the culture and folklore of vampires, and yes, there is a sexual element to that. I feel the need to express those dark and dangerous thoughts that lurk beneath my innocent exterior, and vampires and werewolves provide the perfect platform to vent my frustrations.

One of my earlier vampire novels is in desperate need of a little love… It is called The Darkness of Love, and came about purely as a spin-off from the Redcliffe novels series. I introduced a vampire named Marcus Scott, and he was supposed to be a supporting character. He proved rather too confident and forceful, however, and he tormented my dreams until I wrote his story. The Darkness of Love is set in Victorian England, and tells the story about how Marcus Scott became a vampire. There is sex, blood and violence. You have been warned… and titillated!
